“Taking the Leap: An Artist’s Journey,”

Work on the sculpture was filmed for the documentary, “Taking the Leap: An Artist’s Journey,” and features some of the people who worked on the project including Neal Fowler and fellow artist Ginny Piech Street.

Most enlightening about the film is how the work involved so much more than Cochran’s creative imagination, but also the math, engineering, chemistry and brute physical labor involved in making the 3,000-pound structure and assembling it on the plaza.
